Listening to podcasts is a great way to fill chunks of time spent in the car, commuting on the train or bus, hanging out in the airport while your flight is delayed, working out at the gym, or taking a long walk or run by yourself.

I’ve become an avid podcast listener in 2018, and here’s nine of the top podcasts I’ve found featuring women discussing issues of high importance to women in general. The more time men can invest in hearing women’s perspectives, the less likely we are to mansplain, commit microaggressions, or be plain ignorant about what women are thinking about, talking about, and concerned about as they step into the voting booth.

If you’re not already listening to women-led podcasts, check these out for starters:

The Broad Experience. Tackles key issues impacting women in the workforce.

Black Girl Podcast. Five friends’ hilarious conversations about “life issues, sisterhood, pop culture, love, growth, and the pursuit of their dreams.”

Being Boss. For “creative entrepreneurs, freelancers, and side hustlers.”

hey, girl. “Created with sisterhood and storytelling in mind,” author Alex Elie sits down with people who inspire her.

Code Switch. Journalists of color tackle common conversations about race and identity.

Call Your Girlfriend. For “long distance besties everywhere.”

Stuff Mom Never Told You. A “research-driven rundown of the ever-evolving challenges facing women today.”

The Guilty Feminist. Live comedy tackling 21st Century issues “that all feminists can agree on, while confessing their insecurities, hypocrisies, and fears that underlie their lofty principles.”

The Bustle Huddle. Important topics for millennial women, discussed by the writers, editors, and readers of Bustle Magazine.
